As Europe's crossroads and despite Brexit, Britain's interconnector flows are growing with different trends in different directions
Despite increasing trade frictions post Brexit, Britain’s grid is increasingly Europe’s crossroads as well as its wind hub. In each direction, different and sometimes unexpected trends are shaping the flows; Norwegian hydro to the north, a sun rising far higher than expected in the east, mostly reliable French nukes to the south and an AI boom to the West.

Looking at annual aggregate flows for interconnectors totally misses their ability to flip direction depending on the time of day and year (weather). Just as a picture tells a thousand words, this animation tells a thousand pictures (or stories):
